Driving is the main type of transportation that people use to get around, as it is convenient and can make things easier for the typical busy-body of today . Driving can also be dangerous; if someone irresponsible is driving, it can lead to the person hurting , or even killing , themselves or others. Teenage driving should be eliminated in the United states, it will lower traffic, students would have to take public transportation thus causing less pollution, and , since the teenage accident rate is roughly 3.7 times higher than adults, eliminating teenage driving will result with lowering accident rates. Teen drivers are caught violating traffic laws more often than adults, teenagers can have a poorer hazard detection, and are more likely to take risks. In 2008 there were approximately 6,428 people killed due to teenage driving, in contrast to older adult (65 and older) driver’s fatalities that was around 5,500 in 2008. Car crashes are the number one cause of teen death in the US, about eight teens die every day due to DUI crashes.
