Pumpkin carving is an essential skill that everyone, no matter the age, should be able to perform. What’s great about carving pumpkins is that you can carve them with your friends or family and still make a party out of it.
The first thing you will absolutely need to be successful in this new adventure is a pumpkin. Most of the pumpkin guts can be scooped out, put into a bowl, and later thrown away, but the seeds can be saved and baked for a nutritious snack. After you successfully hollow out your pumpkin you can address the pumpkin seeds. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Rinse the seeds off in the sink to make sure all of the unwanted goop is off of them. Place them in a bowl and toss them in vegetable or olive oil.
