The first thing in the morning is to prepare an outfit for the day. Generally when I am getting dressed I think about the weather, what classes I have to attend, and how I am feeling in general. If I am a bit down and just want to be left alone, I will wear black so I don’t stick out, but I still look like I tried to get dressed and look presentable. If I am in a good, happy mood, then I will go with a lighter color such as blue or orange. When getting dressed in the morning, have you ever realized that most of your clothes match in either color or different shades of the same color family, style, or brand? Everyone has their favorite brand whether it is Nike, Arizona, Kelvin Cline, Cabela’s, Tony lama, and Under Armor. The brand of clothing a person wears definitely has an effect on a person’s social life. Athletes prefer Nike or Under Armor because that is what’s socially acceptable. They know that they are good quality brands and accepted among their pers. It is an unspoken tradition that if you are in track you have to buy Nike running shoes. Wearing a particular brand can even become a tradition within a family. A sporting family may only buy Under Armor or Nike because that is what a sporting family buys. A traveling family may only buy Kirkland because it’s a good product for traveling at a good price and is sold in most Costco stores. My family wears a variety of brands most of which are Kirkland and thirty Bellow. We wear these brands because we can depend on Costco having the products, when we are traveling. While my family and I are traveling we look for the brands that we know are good. If a person is in an unfamiliar town with different stores and products it is very good to know what brands are good and what brands are
