Separation of power is one of the important things that help build a government because if it were not for this, then one person could take all the power and create a government that goes against the people. For example, back then King George III was the ruler of England and in England they have a monarchy, which is where the country is ruled by a king or a queen, so they do not have Separation of power. For example, back then he state government was not allowed to tax the people because they did not have permission from the federal government. Since the state government could not collect taxes, they did not have any money to keep the government going. They could not do anything to help the people because they had no money to support their system. This example is relevant because if the government cannot tax then they cannot help run programs for the people that may need it.
