I decided to choose this article because I wanted to learn more about how nurses use critical thinking in their careers. I thought the study that was performed was really interesting and I wanted to know how the results faired after the study was done. We learned a lot about critical thinking at the beginning of the semester in chapter nine of our book. We were taught that becoming a critical thinker involves more than just developing skills, that there are characteristics that a critical thinker must possess. This article contributes to what we learned in chapter nine because it goes to show that even with all the knowledge in the world one must use their judgment and critical thinking to come up with the best possible answer for their patient.
