How Snowflakes Can Be Different

Snowflakes are different in all kinds of ways. Some snowflakes have 3, 6, or 12 sides. Two snowflakes don't look alike. How they form can be different too. There are so many ways snowflakes can be different.

To begin, Snowflakes can have 3, 6, or 12 sides. According to Source 2, they can't have5 or 8 sides. It's impossible for that to happen. The most sides a snowflake can have is 12 and the least is 3 and 6 is like the middle. When it's winter time snowflakes are outside and usually inside decorations go up. Snowflake decorations usually have 5 or 8 sides and that incorrect. Real snowflakes have 3, 6, or 12 sides.

Next, no 2 snowflakes are exactly alike. According to my knowledge, snowflakes have different designs or patterns. Some snowflakes can contain 200 ice crystals just in 1 flake. The reason snowflakes don't look alike is because the atmosphere is different in each cloud. The journey from the cloud to the ground, produces a unique shape, size and pattern.

According to Source 1, ground temperature has to be at least 32 degrees Fahrenheit or less. For snowflakes to form it needs to be cold.
