Napoleon Bonaparte was the first emperor of France and a brilliant military general. Being an intelligent individual as well as a great leader helped him acquire his supreme skills over his lifetime. He has been in certain situations and experiences that helped him become the leader that he did. A person cannot simply be born a leader, but they may have to display the right qualities to gain that power. Napoleon’s leadership progressed as he became older and wiser. Growing up, he was under circumstances that benefited him to become a brilliant military general. Napoleon attended the military college of Brienne, where he studied for five years. He then moved on to attending the military academy in Paris. (“Napoleon Biography” Page 1) During the time that he was attending school his father was diagnosed with stomach cancer and died. Once Napoleon returned to France, he also returned to the military service. Something that helped Napoleon become a good leader was the fact that he had a good relationship with the Jacobins and supported them. He wouldn’t be a good leader because Napoleon was a brilliant military general. In our century, many people want to be in peace and try to not have many battles.
