Gun Control
Is gun control helpful or hurtful to citizens? “According to Alpers, gun facts, in America, 22% of Americans own one or more guns. This is highest total in the world”. In the second Amendment, it is the right for people to carry guns (Gun violence 2002). The state governments can not forbid people to keep and bear arms. People can carry, the law has some rules like not carrying in schools and government buildings. I think we should have gun control because it helps keep people safe. Gun control would help reduce gun related deaths such as murder and suicides, and the gun magazines need to be monitored too to help in gun safety.
Gun control will keep people safe. Many people are able to purchase gun magazines ( large cases of bullets) to use in their guns. People should be watched along with gun purchases. According to CDC ,“Between 1999 and 2013 there were 270,237 firearm suicides in the united states accounting for about 52% of all suicides during those years”. The institute of medicine reported “That firearm related suicides accounted for 61% of gun deaths in the united states between 2000-2010” (CDC). 89% of unintentional shooting deaths of children occur in the home and most of these deaths occur when children are playing with a loaded gun in their parent or guardian's absence.Victims that have guns in there home and victims that do not have guns in their home are three times more likely to have an accidental suicide. We can reduce more violence like this with gun control.
Those are the reasons why people need gun control to be used for safety reasons.This is the reasons why gun control should be better because it could help forbid suicide deaths and it can stop causing trouble on the streets like with gang
