Social media sites have ruined society’s privacy. These sites encourage teens to be open and public about their personal lives (SB). Teenagers and children are spending additional time on the internet, and spending reduced time in physical activities (LS). Instead of running around and playing outside, children are now glued to their phones and computers. Technology in the form of screen time has become a significant reason for obesity in children and teenagers. Obesity increases risks of health conditions, such as high cholesterol, diabetes, asthma, authorities, liver disease, and social and psychological problems (CT). Technology abuse has also been linked to motion injuries like eye strain, carpal tunnel and sometimes even epilepsy (LS). Increased use of these sites may result in feelings of isolation, depression, and anxiety in children and teens (LS). The excelling amount time spent online takes away from spending time with real human contact such as friends and family and their motivation to do things outside of the online world
