This however, comes off a Nativist and a little pessimistic in the eyes of a liberal college undergrad. The struggle of gaining higher education should be a testament of how unequal Americans access to education and socioeconomic status. This mobility is becoming further divided because the middle class is disappearing and more wealth disparity is arising. Friedman tends to overlook the domestic structural barriers of intellectuals entering the world market. These barriers prevent many Americans to complete on an even playing field. Our society is not exceptional in the sense that we all are influenced by the world market. This influence reminds us that the connectivity of individuals worldwide doesn’t have to be a fearful issue, because there’s no slowing down globalization, it is going to happen with the technology we are constantly evolving. This means that there will be many causations to that effect, both progressive and degressive. I believe that the future of our society is dependent on how we can create alliances and work together with that shared knowledge to make progressive steps forward in all areas of
