The brain has two hemisphere, the right and left side. Each hemisphere has it own function working different ways, but are connected by the corpus callosum to serve the body. The left hemisphere controls the right side of the body. The left side is more of the academic side and logical side. The left side is better at understanding language. Language as in being able to communicate with others (speaking). Also comprehending and reading. Left side is better at musical tempo like cords, analytical like categorization and details. The reason I say the Broca’s Area is because the Broca’s Area is the area in the brain that is responsible for production of words and speech. If I gave up that area in my brain, I just wouldn’t be able to speak. I would still be able to understand what others are telling me but I wouldn't be able to communicate back with words. My life would be different because I would have to communicate differently with others than I’m used too. I would have to learn sign language, since I won’t be able speak but I can use my hands to communicate. It would be a struggle at first, I would be learning a new language, people close to me would have to understand my new way of communicating with them. A simple task like ordering food at a restaurant would be difficult because I would have to tell someone who understands me to order for me now. Using positive reinforcement to encourage a child behavior. For example if a child does their homework without being told. I would be using positive reinforcement by praise or rewarding them. I would tell the child, that they will get extra tv time every time they don't have to be told to their homework, that would be their award. For praise them, I would keep telling how great of a student they are, every time they do that action. For negative reinforcement is taking away something unpleasant as to get the same behavior. I would tell the child that they wouldn’t have to wash the dishes today or do clean the house this weekend. Those would be my strategy on encouraging that child’s
