The use of excessive force has claimed the lives of many African American and Latino people. This excessive force is a direct indication of the fear that police officers have towards these populations. Many of the images of African American and Latino people that are displayed in the media are volatile. Volatile public images influence the thoughts of society. These thoughts and concerns become the fears in which our public servants operate in. Education and exposure to different cultures could greatly benefit our society.
