For there are reasons behind every action that one makes and every decision that one takes. In the novel, Things Fall Apart, the Nigerian author, Chinua Achebe emphasizes how change in one's’ life whether it's in their culture or family; can impact the way a character changes internally. His main character, Okonkwo, is very fearful of failure and violent, but he also cares for his children and their future and is very determined. Unarguably, Okonkwo has many negative characteristics that benefit him into making himself feel bold, yet hurt those who surround him.
