ABSTRACT: This experiment was done to answer and/or to find out if you change the light intensity on a healthy plant, then it will photosynthesize differently, because the photons will hit the leaves of the plant more or less, thus increasing or decreasing the photosynthetic rate. This would answer the question by seeing how many bubbles come up without any light and how many bubbles does with light at different distances for different amounts of time (seconds). The goal is to solve the problem of how light affects the rate photosynthesis in the Elodea. Many others have done this and have found that when light intensity raises, …show more content…
Different factors limit this process and one is light intensity. The experiment tried to find out that if you change the light intensity on a healthy plant, then it will photosynthesize differently, because the goal of the experiment was to find the change on the rate of photosynthesis when presented with different light intensities. The research prior to the experiment was done by looking at other research papers, other experiments, looking up how light intensity affects the rate the rate of photosynthesis in plants. The experiment will prove and/or bust the hypothesis because the experiment show how light will affect the rate of photosynthesis in Elodea canadensis (plant used in experiment that is the dependent …show more content…
