Good and evil have been with us forever . Many books and movies have addressed this topic since the 1800’s. In Robert L. Stevenson’s novella, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, descriptions of Jekyll and Hyde show good and bad. The way Jekyll and Hyde look and act depicts good and evil. Enfield tells the story of the door to Utterson. “[Hyde] is not easy to describe. There is something wrong with [Hyde’s] appearance; something displeasing, something downright detestable”(Stevenson 5). The fact that something is wrong with Hyde shows evil. The use of displeasing and detestable represent evil.
