The conflict during Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech was that of which people with colored skin were treated differently than whites. Men, women, and children with colored skin could not do such as sit or play with whites. There was much conflict in this because whites would not allow colored people to do daily work they would normally do. Signs would be put up stating,” For Whites Only”. In Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech in paragraph 5, he states,” Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice”. This piece of evidence from the speech supports my claim that conflict affects people by proving their character and changing global reactions/ actions. This shows that Martin Luther King Jr. is a brave man. This is because he is courageous enough to stand in front of a massive group of marchers and say this quote to them. That it is time to stand and to treat each other equally. This also supports that conflict changes global reactions/ actions because after this speech was spoken, the America had come to a realization that he was right and that we should treat each other with respect and become equal.The citizens put this into action and made everyone equal in the end.
