Does Chewing gum increase concentration and/or focus?
Imagine yourself to be taking a long, difficult test, where concentration seems impossible at the time. Experiments attempt to reveal the solution that would increase concentration during simple, cognitive tasks. Although the effects are not long-lasting, if you find yourself “drawing a blank” during a test, chewing gum may help to increase your score by jogging your memory. An obvious question that comes up in this topic is why the gum actually helps with concentration.
