Many men and women are getting tattoos just for the simple fact of wanting one and liking the look of them. Tattoos have doubled in the last seven years, 8 percent up from back in 2007 (Blanton, Dana, Fox News, “Fox News Poll: Tattoos aren’t just for rebels anymore”). This steady increase is showing that not only is it becoming more acceptable, but that people are finding the masterful works of art to be confidence boosting. “Most people get tattooed to mark significant aspect of themselves or their life” Says Jodie Michalak, a tattoo and body piercing expert.
