In those days, psychology was viewed a part of philosophy instead of what is believed today. That was until Wilhelm Wundt, a German Philosopher exhibited fresh ideas which were translated later and taken to the United States by one of his students Edward B. Titchener. After that psychology was developed into a different school of thought known as structuralism (Goodwin, C. J., pp. 23-24, 2008). Critical philosophers continued their speculation regarding nature and the causes of the mind and behavior, and used empirical test to expose their hypotheses. It was not until the scientific revolution in Europe in the 16th and 17th centuries, and the development of untried physiology which fast-tracked the process, that encouraged growth in the utilitarian science of psychology in the late 19th and 20th
