How Did The Cold War Impact The World

The forty-five year Cold War created a lasting impact on the world. The Cold War originated in 1945 and did not come to an end till around 1991. It was not a typical war with lots of violence and thousands of deaths such as World War I or World War II. The Cold War was more of a government political war than a bloody army war. The United States and the Soviet Union have an interesting history considering they used to get along (“What was the Cold War”). Joseph Stalin and his politics lead to the United States and the Soviet Union despising each other. Joseph Stalin and the Soviet Union were primarily responsible for causing the Cold War, which left legacies.
The Cold War was a non physical war between the United States and the Soviet Union. The Cold war dominated international affairs for years and years. Lots of things came as a result form the Cold War. The Berlin Wall was raised, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and lots of Russian spies (What Was the Cold War). The Berlin Wall split Germany into two sides, Western Germany and Eastern Germany. The East was controlled by the Communist Soviet Union, whereas the west was backed up by the United States, Great Britain, and France (History.com). When the deadline by which all foreign troops were supposed to be gone came up, Stalin was not ready. The Soviet Union broke their promise and left their troops in Iran (The Cold War).
