Over a period of history, some continents have been have been on a different pedestal than others; others had the sovereignty and others were underneath. Europe explored and conquered lands and routes that the rest of the world didn’t realize existed; saw civilizations that were unknown. Unearthed riches that were hidden and undisclosed, and altered the lives of the whole world forever. The causes of why Europe, and not anyone else, explored and conquered the rest of the world were because of resources/where continents were geographically (Doc 1, 4, 5), technological advancements (Doc 2, 3), and an endeavor to obtain or utilize a purpose or exploitation/competition (Doc 6, 7, 8, 9).

Europe has consistently had a leverage over the rest of the world. Whether it be resources or knowledge; it came to Europe first, then spread to the other continents. Plant and animal domestication initially happened in Eurasia; it led to food surpluses which ultimately led to why empires, knowledge, and steel weapons emerged earlier in Eurasia and late or never in other continents. The fact Eurasia had all these advantages gave them the capacity to not think about food and the ability to become innovative and find other ways to do things. This in my opinion is why Europe and none of the other continents explored and conquered the rest of the world (Doc 1). Also geography plays a substantial in why Europe took over the world. Yes, China was in Eurasia, but their reasons for not conquering the world when they had the ability too, plays a role in why Europe conquered the rest of the world. Europe was very exposed and lacking power at that time in history and Europe needed to find a financial exploit. Their only option was the sea because Asia already found an exploit in land; because of Europe’s small region corresponding to the rest of the world, they had to become competitive. European nations fighting each other gave them an advantage in war - they had been in so many wars that they knew how to handle wars better than everyone else - because of the competition (Doc 6). Europe had to undertake fighting their own people and everyone else on the seas, they had the aspiration to find product and dominance. With these objectives in mind encouraged Europe to grow (Doc 7). Before the Spanish came and conquered anyone , they had already affected the people of the Americas. This was caused by one sick Spaniard, that one Spaniard eradicated half of the population of the Incan empire. All these deaths and the disease began a sequence of catastrophic wars. The Spaniards endeavor to find some sort of resource or fulfil their purpose, had changed everything about South America itself (Doc 8). P.O.V Charles C.
