How Did Charles Darwin's Theory Affect Society

Think about what the world of science would be like today without Charles Darwin’s Theory. Darwin was known to be the father of evolutionary biology. Charles Darwin once said, “When I view all begins not as special creations, but as the lineal descendants of some few beings which lived long before the first bed of the Cambrian system was deposited, they seem to me to become ennobled.” Charles Darwin’s original Theory of Evolution has evolved itself with a modern understanding of his theories, and an overall impact on lives and society. First of all, Charles Darwin’s book On the Origin of Species in 1859, first formulated The Theory of Evolution by natural selection. Along with these discoveries Darwin started noticing a lot of similarities between the islands’ fossils and some of the living species today. Watching and learning about how the animals and species had certain characteristics and habits that enabled them to acquire what they needed for survival, and how they were encoded with different behavioral and/or biological traits according to their genes. These adaptations to different environments of the islands and their traits of biological and/or behavioral traits became important evidence that Darwin would need to formulate his theory of evolution. Lastly, Modern thought and science have also been affected by the Darwinian Theory, since it gave a whole new perspective on life and scientific study. With the Darwinian theory of evolution by natural selection has now provided a new possible answer to where it is that humans actually came from. Evolution began to challenge the moral beliefs with this theory. It also gave new meanings to professions such as “Human Evolution”. Science will continue to be affected by this one man’s observation
