The Ancient Greeks contributed a lot to modern society, but science and math are the areas where the Greeks made the biggest contribution. The first big contribution, was a theory that the Ancient Greek astronomer Aristarchus came up with. He was the first man to think that the Earth revolved around the sun. Back then, no one believed him, but it turns out he was right! It was proven, thousands of years later, and is now common knowledge.
