Many neighborhoods are prone to flooding, so when people invest in their homes they’re already aware that it’s most likely going to flood. Some neighborhoods flood easily from days of light rain or a few hours of heavy rain. A large part of the community received water inside their home from a foot to the roof of their homes causing many people to evacuate. After the return of these families to their homes, the damage lowered the values of homes and increased the amount of money invested to repair the damage.

People began to evaluate the damages done to their homes, what work needed to be done and the amount it would cost. First things first, removing all damaged material. Garbage cans were filled along with piles and piles of flood damage stacked along the streets. Couches, beds, bed frames, dressers, cabinets, refrigerators, and many more materials were placed in the streets. Garbage companies couldn’t receive all this in one pickup, and the stacks stayed for days and weeks. Slowly the piles were removed, and these homes were restored to their natural state. Driving by these homes made the community look unappealing to the eye, as a person looking to invest in a home or a neighborhood to live in this made the pick easy. The status of neighborhoods was lowered as some families are incapable of restoring their homes, and so they relocated to new
