Congress is made up the House of Representatives and senate. The house of representatives currently has four hundred and thirty five members. The number of representatives per state are decided by the population of the state. Member of the house of representative are up for election every two year meaning they are always “campaigning”. Representatives tend to keep closer relationships to their constituents so they are aware of their current needs. This leads them to focus on legislation which effects the short term. The house also has the distinct power in that it must be the one to introduce a bill with would spend or raise revenue.
The senate is made up of a hundred representatives, two from each state. Senators serve six year terms. This
