When placed in Pareto chart (Figure 3) it is noticed that there are 16 short samples that have been received in the laboratory that a laboratory test had to be cancelled due to not enough specimen collected. The receivers’ responded well to the chart showing great improvement on calling the physician. There were still microbiology laboratory tests cancelled but most of them were due to the physician’s request.
