My whole life, I've considered myself to be modest, or reserved. I don't embrace my successes as much as people would imagine. It's not that I am ashamed, I just value my moments of success on my own because no one will cherish them as much as I will. As a four year member of the school band, and being a competitive flute player, I have encountered multiple successes by being a 4 year member of the Honors Wind Ensemble, maintaining the 1st chair status for 6 years straight, earning superior ratings at Solo and Ensemble, and earning a spot in the All Region band.

They range from music lovers, to peppy cheerleaders, to gamers, to people who have a strong work ethic and leadership skills. Though we are different, the unique interests, personalities, and views that we contain has helped me comprehend the concept of people being entitled to their own opinion. There may be few aggressive discussions when we hang out because of these opposing mindsets, but at the end of the day, our discussions resolve by helping each other understand one's thoughts. Listening carefully and participating in discussions about certain aspects with my buddies have helped me become more open minded and understanding of people and their positions. I have learned to be less judgmental, to respect what others have to offer, and how to adapt to any change that occurs. It's not such an easy thing to do so, for most people. But I, on the other hand, have found my way around those
