This is because people are only thinking about the time and money it will take to do that and not about the upcoming future. In reality sustainable waste management costs less of money and creates less pollution than the process we have today. Low quality waste management also has a big effect on health. It creates poisons like dioxin and attracts rats and other vectors which carry disease. It also affects the environment because it takes up so much space and the landfills don’t really have anymore space in them to take in more waste. Landfills also cause big environmental and aggravate those living around them. For example seagulls which fly to landfills looking for scraps often take them, and drop them off in someone’s yard. Cost effectiveness and environmental problems are the two big reasons why the waste management system needs a touch up. There are many ways we could use waste to create energy but there will be a lot of setbacks which are considered harmful. To sort all the things in the in the landfill which are usable is a good thing and it will cost a lot of money, but you will have to do it because it will create space in landfills and show people to recycle and then throw away their
