Why should your baby eat from the same old baby food jar for thanksgiving? Thanksgiving is a special time where we all over-indulge in stuffing our mouths and bellies with foods that may not be best for our health. This year, break this old tradition of giving your baby the same baby foods. This article will provide you with delicious recipes of nutritious homemade baby foods that will give your little one a Thanksgiving he will never forget. However, keep in mind that these recipes are meant for babies who are older than 6 months. In case your baby is younger and starting to eat solid foods, use you expressed milk, water or formula to make the meal taste more familiar.

• Blend with water till it becomes a smooth liquid. When adding water, remember to add a tablespoon at a time.
• Blend the mixture in cranberry sauce until you achieve your desire consistency. Cranberry sauce is used to thicken the water and turkey blend. In case you are making the meal for an older baby, you may require more than ¼ cup of cranberry sauce to thicken it.
Baked Acorn Squash
You can’t ask for a better meal to act as a “side dish” for your child’s Thanksgiving diner.
Ingredients:
• 2 small acorn squash.
• ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
• 2 tablespoons of applesauce
Directions:
• Cut each acorn squash into halves then scoop the seeds out.
• Divide the cinnamon and juice among the 4 halves. Cover them with aluminum foil.
• Place the halves in a baking dish and bake them at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about an hour until they become tender.
• Peel off the foil and leave the squash to cool.
• Scrape out the insides of the puree and squash it in a food processor or blender.
• Freeze any unused food immediately.
