First of all, the food was very delicious and traditional...for the most part. Just like you would find it at any other celebration. Aloo gobi, matar paneer, and yes...even pizza galore! All delicious and all filling. Meant to delight your tastebuds and leaving them asking for more. Even taking a risk to try new things is completely worth it. Most of the foods are finger foods. Using the naan, a type of bread, to scoop up different vegetables such as potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, beans, and broccoli, seasoned with curry. You get to smear colored powder on people's faces and clothes ( which were specifically white for the occasion). It was fun being sneaky and drenching my family and friends, but mainly my Haitian friend Michael. Covering the place in dust, and in the end looking like you walked through a colorful painting. By the end of the celebration, we would need to take a really long time to get all the color
