The sport broke the color barrier and welcomed many African Americans which promoted equality and diversity in sports. NBA began signing many TV deals which helped promote it’s air time, further leading to its success among American audiences. The NBA rose tremendously in the 80s with players such as Larry Bird or Magic Johnson coming to the table and bringing prodigious skill sets that improved the intensity of the game. College basketball was thriving quite well throughout this time as well. Through college men’s basketball tournaments, many fans were in attendance to show support. The popular season of college basketball is called March Madness, and it’s when college basketball teams play many games to deem one winner in the month of
