Many things have happened throughout the history of America. Some of these events affected America negatively, but others affect America positively.There are many great historical events that have had a great impact on America; some still impact America today. Such as, the Civil Rights Movement that continuously brings peace, the War of 1812 that brought confidence, and The New Deal that provides opportunities.
The Civil Rights Movement affected the country then and now. During the Civil Rights Movement laws had already been passed giving everyone equal rights, but people still found a way around them by using things like Jim Crow Laws.
