There are approximately seven billions of people living in the world, even though we are very similar with each other, our perspective of live is very different and the way we educate our children is influence by our culture; in the United States there is a diversity of culture including the Hispanic and American culture who methods in raising their children are very different from each other and they have different perspective in what education, independence, obedience and family means in life.
