Background The Populist I chose was Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton was the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, where she was defeated by Donald Trump. During an interview with CNN she blamed her loss on the email scandal FBI investigators brought up during the campaign. She was the first first lady to win a public office seat and the first woman to become a presidential nominee of a major political party.

She believes that medical marijuana should be legal but that it should not be legal to everyone else. She also believes that women should be able to abort their children up until the day before they are due. When she was on The View she explained how she had been to orphanages where conditions were rough and it would be better for the child to be aborted than for it to be put in an orphanage. Hillary also supports Planned Parenthood. She was involved in a lawsuit for supporting Planned Parenthood selling baby parts from aborted babies.
