Hilary Clinton Persuasive Essay

Improved Essays
I believe Hilary Clinton won the final presidential debate. Clinton’s performance was more persuasive than Trump’s because she spoke with sophistication and intelligences. This country can go in two directions. The first way is up, with Clintons ideas and views I believe our country can become great and everything from trade to economy can thrive. The second way is down, with Trumps and his ideas to build a wall to keep immigrants out and his lack of commence sense and human decency. One of the biggest topics in presidential debates is the topic of abortion and whether it should be allowed or not. Clinton and Trump both have very different ideas on the subject. When Clinton was asked to talk about abortion and whether its something that should …show more content…
Donald Trump is known far and wide as the man who wants to build a huge wall between America and Mexico to keep out immigrants. Trump believes that building a wall is going to make all the violence and issues of the country disappear but Clinton is smarter than that. Clinton wants to work on getting rid of violence all together and she understands that ones race doesn’t determine whether they are violent or not. Violence is a huge problem in this country that needs to be fixed but getting rid of a race isn’t going to fix it. When I first heard Trump say, “We have some bad hombres here, and we are going to get them out.” I was appalled. I was shocked that someone could be so ignorant and say something like that on national TV. Being a minority I couldn’t believe that someone with those ideas and beliefs could possibly become the next leader of our country. Coming to American I knew it as the place where everyone had equal opportunities and right but Trump is actively trying to destroy that. Millions of people dead, trillions of money spent and hundreds of years to get equal rights and opportunities for people means nothing to Donald Trump. He is like an uneducated spoiled little kid, he wants what he wants and if doesn’t get what he wants he will throw a “trumpertantrum”. When I have kids I don’t want them to hear our leader of the country say that just because they are not white it must mean they are …show more content…
Donald Trump was caught bragging about sexually assaulting women and to try and justify it he said it meant nothing because it was guys being guys. When he said I was absolutely livid. His ignorance and lack of common human decency just shocked me. A few women came forward and said that Trump sexually assaulted him and instead of apologizing and asking for forgiveness he tried to shame them by said that those women are too unattractive to bother sexually assaulting. The more Trump said on this topic the anger I got. One on every six women have been or will be sexually assaulted and these women might be lead by an inconsiderate idiot who has no brains or a sense of right and wrong. During the finally presidential debate Trump said, “There is no one that respects women more then me.” When he said this I almost cried from anger. He said this with a straight face and that made me so mad. Someone that has respect for women doesn’t go around saying that it’s okay to go around and sexually assault women. Being a woman it scares me that someone like Trump can lead our country. I believe in a world where women don’t have to fear for their safety and privacy. The world I want to live in doesn’t have a racist, sexist man leader

Every American has a divergent perspective on America. With this, there are numerous amounts of definitions for America and what it means to be an American. Some definitions can exclude others from reaching their full potential in America and some definitions can benefit everyone to reach their full potentials. However, America should be defined to have the ability to reach one’s full potential with their owned civil rights to benefit American society. One example of one’s view of excluding others from reaching their full potentials is in Ann Coulter’s speech, “We Only Owe Black People Not Gays, Women or Immigrants Civil Rights,” Coulter believes that America should prioritize giving Civil Rights to the black people due to their controversial history in America.…

After watching the debate, I would say that Clinton had the stronger argument. She had supported her arguments concerning gun legislation, abortion, and immigration with statistics as well as personal testimonies, which improved her credibility and allowed her character to be relatable and trustworthy. For example, on the topic of gun legislation, Clinton had related to the masses by conveying her understanding of those who wish to maintain their gun rights. After establishing this trust with the crowd, she had proceeded to refer to the events concerning gun violence as well as the amount of lives destroyed.…

I remember when Donald Trump first announced his political run for office. He built his campaign on the slogan: We’re going to Make America Great Again, “reinforced” by his bold claim of “building a wall”. When Trump got down into the weeds with Megyn Kelly during the first Fox News Republican debate, I sensed Donald Trump was a proud and arrogant man. I went on my own campaign against him; making phone calls, writing emails, calling news agencies and talk shows, posting madly to Facebook — whatever I could do to try to stop a really bad person from wrecking the Republican Party and damaging the nation. NeverTrump was my obsession, but it was, at that time, merely political for me.…

My advice to makayla is to never get stuck on one question no longer than five minutes. It's okay to skip a question and come back to it later once you have answer all of the other questions. It's also okay to guess intelligently on some of the questions. I feel that you shouldn't always linger on the same questions, because that can cause you to loose most of you time on the test. John When writing I think John should just write everything out first step-by-step.…

Right at the beginning of the third debate there is a question about the Supreme Court asked by moderator Chris Wallace. Hillary responds by using reasoned persuasion by bringing up movements and cases close to a lot of people’s hearts. This shows reasoned persuasion because she says that her supreme court will be on the side of these movements and be better than it is now. Then once Clinton finishes her response Trump begins his counter. He begins his counter by immediately attacking a Supreme Court justice in Ruth Ginsburg.…
