The High Scope “plan-do-review” sequence (planning time, work time, cleanup time, and recall time) this is a time when the children express their ideas and intentions. The teacher discusses the plan with the children before implantation. Plans and their limits are determined by the children. The next step is work time (do) which takes up the longest time period during the day, which consist about 30 to 45 minutes work time for children and another 10 to 15 minutes to review or recall with the teacher and other peers what they’ve done and learned. It provides a structure within which children can make choices and follow their interest. The children are able to follow a consistent day to day routine which gives them a sense of security that they need to make choices or be independent. Clean-up time: is when the children return materials and equipment to their labeled places. This process restores order to the classroom and provides opportunities for the children to learn and use basic cognitive skills, such as classifying and ordering objects. Recall time (review) is initiated which allows the children to reflect on their activities and accomplishments achieved throughout the day.
