My most impressive project without a doubt would have to be my eagle scout project. When I was 17, I tasked myself with repainting the interior of an apartment used by a ministry for an afterschool program they had. I was able to effectively manage the younger scouts and delegate responsibility to finish the project in a timely manner. We had to move everything off the walls, lay drop cloths, and tape off the door frames. I was required to keep track of the expenses involved, in addition to the tools, equipment, hours, and any donations.…

My first project was about Al Capone and he was a super fun person to learn about. I wrote an essay and made a blueprint of the Alcatraz cell house. A cool fact I learned was that Al Capone was responsible for putting expiration dates on milk bottles. This year has been a crazy one. I came from a public school, not knowing anyone, so I terrified and didn't know what to expect. I struggled with trusting others, time management and battling multiple tasks at once. Luckily, I had a lot of practice throughout the year. For instance when we had to record a News Show for Mr.Mora's class, I was faced with all of these problems.…

A new journey in my life began on August 13th, 2014 as my school principal cut the red ribbon celebrating the opening of a brand new high school. As the senior project comes to an end, I am truly excited about the benefit my influence has had on the community. My senior project was just another step to the legacy that I have implemented in Warren County. Thinking back to freshman year, senior project seemed so boring and far away. I never would have imagined the progress and success I've had with my senior project. My interest has stayed the same but I wouldn't think that I would have County Commissioners and a House of Representative present at my event.…

High school changes people. They express themselves, become opinionated, and they start to look at the world differently as they experience things they have never encountered before. A wise Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “Man’s mind stretched to a new idea never goes back to its original dimensions.” This quote is an excellent way to describe my experience in high school.…

Freshman year of high school is scary for anyone, the enormous transition from being a top dog at middle school, back to an underclassman; wondering if your high school teachers will be as unforgiving as your 8th grade teacher’s descriptions, or even just that uncertainty that comes along with any major change. As a homeschooler entering school system for the first time, and having completely skipped 8th grade, it was terrifying.
