Is there a form of oppression and hate that heavily impacts straight people’s lives? In this essay, I will dispute how heterophobia isn’t a real issue that actively damages the straight community.

Does heterophobia exist? Well, what does heterophobia mean? “Heterophobia” Is a term that the straight community has formulated to describe the prejudice and oppression the LGBT community enforces on them. Their idea of heterophobia is when their gay acquaintances display uneasiness or dislike towards straight people. When we talk about homophobia we’re discussing an oppression and hatred of gay people that has lasted centuries. To this day there is not one anti-straight law, nor is there an anti-cisgender law.
