During my seventh and eighth year of middle school, I was a member of my school’s Asian Heritage Club. More specifically, I was elected club Vice President. As Vice President, I was entrusted with a number of responsibilities ranging from assisting the President with paperwork to generating intriguing ideas for the cultural festival at the end of the year. A unique responsibility I took upon myself was to act as leader and supervisor of the modern dance performers. I was tasked with choosing music, choreographing a riveting dance routine, organizing practice, and teaching each member their respective routines.
