Synthetic drugs are a common source of acute injury of the liver. Compared with 30 years ago, the average patient today was older, has more Co morbidity and is exposed to more diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with the potential to harm liver function. Drug Cisplatin (cis-diamminedichloroplatinum) shown to cause hepatotoxic, is an effective against solid tumors as an anti-tumor drug for the treatment of several human affected by cancer to exert their toxic effects by one or more common pathogenic mechanism. General preventive measures include using alternative hepatotoxic drugs whenever possible, correcting risk factors. If possible; by adjusting the dosage, monitoring liver function and vital signs during therapy; and avoiding hepatotoxicity drug combinations. Hepatotoxicity is a poisonous effect of some substances, both toxic chemicals and medication on the liver. Treatment of cancer is always associated with such type of side effects, and this one of the major problems associated with chemotherapy. Chemo protective agents are still a new ground of study and study will likely give up agents with superior selectivity for healthy tissue as well as the aptitude to protect a larger number of tissue types.
