Jeffrey Dahmer, one of the world's most twisted serial killers, actually grew up in a good home with good parents. He was born May 21, 1960 into a good family. He was described as an energetic and happy child until the age of 4, when he had surgery to correct a double hernia, and this seemed to affect and change his actions and behavior. Over the course of 13 years he killed 17 males between the years 1978 and 1991. He often killed African American males at gay bars, malls, and bus stops. He lured them with promises of money or sex and then gave them alcohol laced with drugs before strangling them to death. After killing the males he would have sexual intercorse with the dead bodies before dismembering them and disposing of them, often keeping their skulls or genitals as souvenirs. Jeffrey claimed his compulsions toward necrophilia and murder began around the age 14. Compulsion in serial killers start out in the adolescent years (“Jeffrey Dahmer - Murder”).
