To understand the outer world, she touched every object and feel the motion. She began communicating in sign language. She had made different signs of expressing herself like a shake of her head meant ‘NO’ and a nod means ‘YES’ etc. It was a hard struggle for her, when she realized that she was different from others. At a times, she used to get so much angry that she screamed loud to pent up her frustration. Helen’s parents were grieved to see her feeling uncomfortable and inadequate in using sign language. Helen’s parents supported her very well in her bad time, Helen’s father was too much devoted towards his family and Helen’s mother was whole world to her After seeing such a bad condition of Helen they appointed Anne Sullivan.
Anne Sullivan was a former teacher in Perkins institute. The arrival of Anne Sullivan in Helen’s life was a major change in her life. Anne arrived to Helen on 3 march,1887 which was very important day for Helen. Anne Sullivan bought a doll for little girl Helen. When she handed over that doll to Helen,she slowly spelled the word ‘doll’. It was the habit of Helen to imitate what others say..now also she did the same, she spelled a word (doll) for the first time. On the first day, Anne taught many words to Helen which she quickly
