I found this Yakudoshi party fun and very informative celebration (not to mention the great meal my wife and I had). I had an idea of the different types or the variety of food the Japanese culture has to offer, however, I think the most valuable lessons here were learning about the culture. I was fortunate enough to hear how the older generation and the younger generation view the practice of Yakudoshi, compare their views on food, hear and learn about some Japanese etiquettes (especially in the use of chopsticks as I described it in the discussion experience below), and hear their views on interracial marriage. Hayao Miyazaki was born in the Bunkyo-ho district of Tokyo on January 5, 1941.
