It was a great experience for me for it helped me understand what giving back means and how great of an impact it can make in someone’s life. I believe that it is a great teaching tool and I am glad I chose to do my service learning at Heartbeat of Toledo because it has opened my eyes to many things. It has given me the desire to serve my community even more. This basically defines my purpose at Heartbeat. By providing my services at Heartbeat, I was able to give back to my community by helping those in need. This learning experience was very important to me because it challenged me to do more for my community and beyond. As a nurse, I will be providing services to my patients. This experience has showed me how to properly service my patient based on their needs and wants.
