NEW YORK—November 15, 2017—Hearst today announced that it has acquired online culture juggernaut Modern Society, one of the main digital destinations and influencer networks made up of young, diverse audiences.
Modern Society has become a leader in youth culture and social advocacy through its voice in the arts, fashion, design and travel. With this strategic acquisition, Hearst will further grow its diversified portfolio of brands and enrich its digital content offerings. Modern Society’s founder and CEO, Alissa Daniels, will continue at the helm following the acquisition.
