Head trauma can also be known as Traumatic Brain Injury, or (T.B.I.) for short. Head trauma is where there is any sort of injury to your scalp, skull, or brain. The injury could even be a small bump or a serious injury. Injuries to the head from any kind of accident can include scalp wounds, concussions, or skull fractures.
Accidents that can lead to severe head trauma can be car wrecks, falls, or violence. In a car wreck, whiplash could happen, and can be quite forceful. Forceful enough to make the brain hit the wall of the skull. Other ways to cause brain injuries is from either accidental or purposely near drowning, and choking. Other such causes can be falling and landing on the head, or from being physically abused and pushed.
