The Haywain by John Constable, 1821, is oil painted on canvas and by the size of the painting, it is a large-scale artwork that requires a lot of details. It is a large scale of work judged by the measurement. In the center of the Jetty, shows the pattern of the spiral. According to the artist, the pattern has a deeper meaning of it. It is suggested that the spiral is like a dormant earthquake or raging cyclone and shows the potential force. The artwork used the form of space arts. It represents the art based on the existed of the objects. Sculpture, craft, architect are the example and also the main elements to it is create the space for the viewers. I can see that in these type of artwork, requires both visual and physical reception of the viewers. Some of the key senses to form as space including seeing, listening, touching, and moving. The audience of the Spiral Jetty has to use all their senses to perceive the artwork. It is said that the artist took over decades to create the work to make it incredible based on the natural. And the reality is that the fluctuating lake level has made the spiral jetty almost invisible. There are a lot of videos and images capturing the artwork before it disappears.
