Hawaii Five-O is about a team of detectives in Hawaii that investigate and solve different crimes. The show uses witty one-liners for comical moments and creates drama with the characters through ongoing relationships. The show has tense moments that are full of action packed gun fights and it uses the beautiful backdrop of Hawaii. This crime show is a remake of the original Hawaii Five-O that was produced back in the 1960s. The show uses the same character names with updated stories for this generation. Hawaii Five-O was a popular CBS television show that ran from 1968 to 1980 and was updated to satisfy the viewing pleasure of today’s generation.

There is no single protagonist in this show. The show has an ensemble that is made up of four characters. The main characters are Steve McGarrett, Danny “Danno” Williams, Chin Ho Kelly, and Kono Kalakaua. There are other characters within the stories, but they usually are just sidekicks to the ensemble. The antagonist in this episode is the person who murdered the professor. The complicating action in this episode begins when the five-o team discovers the body in the pig pen. There are also separate stories going on within the episode, such as the young boy having issues with his father. The five-o team decides that it would be best to put one of their officers undercover at the college teaching the class of the dead professor. They also get a lab tech at the police station to go undercover as a student at the school to try and get any information about the murder of the professor. The medical examiner discovers that the professor was shot and the five-o team places a friend at the pig pen to recover the lost bullet from the pig excrement. The five-o team learns that the professor was not very popular around campus and they track down a student that may have murdered the professor. After they …show more content…
The five-o team stops him just in time before he lights the place up and they take him into custody. After interrogating the student, he tells the police that a competitor killed the professor to get them to stop selling marijuana. The five-o team looks into this accusation and they bring in another suspect. They quickly learn that the student was lying when the ballistics from the bullet comes back and they tie the gun to the student. The five-o team confronts the student about the gun and the bullet and he decides to confess to the murder of the professor. Once the murder has been solved the complicating action is resolved. During the episode, one of the police officers is helping out a young kid with a custody issue. The kid’s father just got out of jail after 8 years and wants his son to come live with him. The courts place the boy back with his father and the young boy runs out of the courtroom. The officer catches up with the boy and finds out that his father had murdered someone a long time ago. The officer discovers the body of a dead man and quickly takes the boy away from his father. The officer was able to help the boy with the custody
