Hashimoto's Disease

Decent Essays
The topic of Hashimoto’s disease came to mind when I could not think of anything to do my research paper on. My friend Raquel gave me the idea of researching this thyroid disease because she knew that I have an underactive thyroid which is what they call it until I fully develop Hashimoto’s. Once she gave me this idea I began to research this topic through the school library’s website. Through the website, Ms. Inman led me to a book on Hashimoto’s which gave me topics to search for sources. I then searched for multiple topics inside of Hashimoto’s and found over six sources that had a lot of information that I did end up using. I found that this topic was something I am interested in and that I was able to learn more about Hashimoto’s

Intercultural Experience Fieldwork Report: Santeria in the Cuban Culture The topic I chose to study and write my research paper about is the Santeria religion, specifically Cuban immigrants in Miami as well as some first generation Americans who are descendants of native Cubans. My goal was to learn more about the secretive religion that many people seem to automatically fear and hate and provide evidence that the religion is in fact a peaceful one that aims to improve humans to become the best persona they can be. In order to accurately depict the religion, I had to do much research online, only to find out that most of the information online is written by everyday people who do not practice the religion as their own, due to this, I had to…

Research Paper Topic The topic of my research paper will be about the new forensic evidence that turned up in the Elizabeth short case aka the black dahlia, I believe this will either make or break the entire case. It could also bring about a close to this cold case that has unsolved for 68 years; just as long as it has been if not longer since the last world war which in my deepest of opinions is way too long. This evidence was discovered back in 2013 by hodel whom is the son of the man who he has convinced himself was the one who had murdered her. He believes very firmly that he has solved the crime of her death and he is noted as writing some of the best books on theories of how she was murdered and why.…

The process of the research paper that was most challenging was organizing the paper. The reason organizing the paper was hard because I had to decide what was important information and how much of the information should I explain in depth. For example, my paper is about the history and benefits of Planned Parenthood, I had to go through and make sure I add extra information on events that led to the building of the first Planned Parenthood and recent history that was important to add. The process of the research paper that was most challenging was basically figuring out the flow my paper should be in for the reader to understand.…

Two years ago during my junior year I was sitting in a cramped classroom filled with rowdy students when my English teacher assigned us a six page research paper. I would consider this research paper to be one of the hardest papers I had to write within three weeks. For most students three weeks is enough time to write a research paper unless you are like me who procrastinates often. Since my teacher gave us three weeks this gave me a great deal of time which brought a lot of distractions. My teacher was very helpful, she was always there to help us and she broke up the paper into smaller tasks with set due dates.…

Honestly, at the start of the semester I didn’t think I could write a 9 plus page scholarly article. Or, rather, I thought I could turn an essay in that made little impact on me but got me a decent grade. Looking back, however, I think I’ve produced a good paper. When I started, my main goal was to learn more about an organization I was curious about. To me, Planned Parenthood has been on organization unfairly attacked and I wanted to learn more about how their organization itself felt about these claims of illegal abortions and use of fetal tissue.…

When I began studying at the University of Montevallo, I had a background of high school creative writing and English classes, and one summer of a college English class. To be honest, I was terrified of jumping into my fall English 102 class. I felt I was unprepared for a serious college level composition class, and that I would have a strenuous time adjusting to a four-year university. However, as I walk away from my English 102 class I carry the understanding of writing a college level essay, undertaking research and completing a research and argument paper properly, and knowledge to prepare me for my other classes and profession.…
