Harriet Tubman played an immense role in the underground railroad, as well as the antislavery movement.. Born into slavery in 1820 and escaping her plantation in 1849- when she was only 29 years of age- Tubman made it to the North. Tubman is most well known to her sacrifices in order to save other families from slavery. I think that Harriet Tubman was the Most Valuable Person to contribute to the U.S. history. When Tubman was 29 years of age, she made it to the Free states of the North. When she got there, she realized that there were still hundred of friends and family members that were still stuck on there plantation. Tubman wanted to do something about that. She knew that if she would be caught, she would be brought back to the plantation,
